Travelling to and from Salou.
Here we will try to assist you in the best and most popular options to travel to and from Salou, and whilst your here in Salou.
Lets start with the airports, there are two most popular airports to travel to and from, the main and most closest airport is REUS. This is approximately 20 minute drive to the heart of Salou.

The airport is small and fast getting through, once you have collected your baggage simply go straight ahead and you will find the Taxi rank out side, where during the main season there will be a taxi representative who will tell you the cost of the taxi ride before you accept it.
In the arrivals hall out side you will see the car rental services. One thing we will say if you rent a car, take out the FULL insurance package as this will cove you for every scratch. Trust me its worth it, A true story we rented a car as usual and always took out the full insurance, and were so glad as we parked the car one night and returned the next day to find someone had bumped the rear bumper and there was a large scratch done the road side of the car which had been done over night, although I was totally displeased with this at least the car was covered and so was my deposit!.
A taxi ride is now averaging 25-35 euros each way depending on hotel and how many of you there are. Sometimes you can get offers that cost less than the two taxis to rent a car.
There is also a Bus from the airport to Salou operated by Bus Plana, we will upload the times here soon as we are awaiting this seasons times from them.

The next airport is Barcelona BCN as there is another one so make sure you look for the BCN one to ensure you get the right location.
This airport is HUGE! Don't panic, take your time... Ok so this airport has two terminals, T1 and T2. make sure you check which one your landing in and which one your taking off from as they are a bus journey apart.
getting from here to Salou has a couple of options, Private transfers, (see lower down) Bus, train.
For the bus, this is operated by Bus Plana, and costs 19.60 per person, with and allowance in the season of two cases per person.
this journey takes average 1.5hrs and no toilet on board! You need to get to T2 , there is a free shuttle bus operated and is signed outside. Follow the signs for the taxi rank which is down stairs as far as you can go. You'll see P3 parking sign, then your in the right place, cross the road of taxis and you'll see to the left the bus stands, Here you will see a bus plana coach where you buy your tickets from, this is not the one you travel on. they run every hour again we will update the times here soon.
as your waiting if you look to the left as you face the road you will see some glass doors, inside here are the toilets and a shop selling hot foods and drinks too, it looks like your entering the car park at the distance but your not. this coach will stop at different city's along the route such as Tarragona, cap salouy etc. have a look at the map and see your accommodation and then choose the best stop that is close by, as the coach stops at certain points only.
on your return to BCN remember your terminal number so you don't get off at the wrong one.
Other options are private transfers which cost around 90- 150 euros during the season.
You can also catch a train but this route has now changed as Salou has now closed its train station.
You can take a train to Tarragona and then bus or taxi to salou which is quick.
