Hello,
Covid 19 & Salou 2022.
Its a difficult time for the globe and Salou had been hit hard by the pandemic.
Salou relys on the tourist industry throughout the summer to allow business and workers to survive throug the winter.
Salou 2020 was a difficult time indeed, and 2021.
We are asked alot about when we think Salou will be open agin fully for tourists. Well the answer is, ,,,,,,,,we dont know for sure.
What we do know is that we will update you with all the informstion as we get it.
Were in constant talks with owners in Salou so we know what their plans are.
What you do need to do now is get yourself ready for your holiday.
If you are From the United Kingdom then there are a few changes to your vists.
1) Passports MUST have 6 months left on them to be allowed entry, your passport will expire at the 10 year mark. If you have renewed your passport and additional months were added these DO NOT count.
2) Travel insurance, make sure you have valid and upto date travel insurance, and check the small print terms and conditions in relaition to what exactly your covered for in the event of COVID19.
Alot of people werre thought they were covered last year but sadly not..
3) EHIC medical card, this will still be accepted for emergencys, and a new GHIC card will replace this one. Simply go on line to apply.
4) Driving in Spain, If you are from a non EU country like GB thrn you will NEED an addtitional driving permet.
These cost £5.00 each and available form a post office. You need a passport sized photo and your driving licenec to obtain one.
5) driving your own car to EU, you will need a green card from your insurance company.
Playing the story to the local police of " i didnt know" wont work and you will find yourself in trouble.
